Future Scenario Workshop in Kiel, Germany
On the 25th of November 2024, a future scenario workshop titled “Jointly Developing Future Visions for a Better Quality of Life in Public Spaces around Vinetaplatz in Kiel Gaarden” was convened in Kiel. More than 20 people participated in this 3 hours event, encompassing local residents also with migrant background, students, and staff from the University of Applied Sciences Kiel, alongside representatives from the city of Kiel, all gathered with a focused intent. The workshop’s primary objective was to collaboratively explore and forecast potential future scenarios, specifically aiming to address and improve the quality of life in the public spaces surrounding Vinetaplatz for diverse and often underserved community groups, including disabled individuals, families with children, women from migrant backgrounds, and the elderly. The workshop was conducted with the understanding that public spaces should be inclusive, safe, and accessible for everyone.
