The third Intensive Study Program took place in mid-April in the city of Bydgoszcz, Poland. The event was organized by WSG University. Students from Slovenia, Finland, Poland, Spain, and Germany, with support from their teachers and associated partners, investigated accessibility and safety in five different districts of Bydgoszcz. Through a guided Jane’s Walk and five safety walks with people from vulnerable groups, students got to know the areas and experienced real-life situations, which helped in their further work on the projects. This direct contact and dialogue were particularly valuable for developing the student’s concepts. Using mapping methods they analyzed and envisioned future scenarios for the urban areas. At the end of the week, they created models and posters presenting their ideas for a more inclusive and safer Bydgoszcz.
