As part of the SAFE Project, three events were organized in Kiel in August to empower migrant women. The workshops provided a space for participants to express themselves creatively through drawing and painting, while also sharing their ideas for the Gaarden district. Led by a creativity pedagogue and a musician, the sessions encouraged participants to think beyond traditional frameworks and exchange their thoughts on community participation and urban design.

The motto of the workshops was “How do I see myself in the Gaarden district?” Each piece of artwork became a focal point for group discussions, allowing participants to articulate their ideas and aspirations for their neighbourhood.
